I received my Ph.D. in Physics from The City University of New York. My areas of interest are in the angular momentum of light, web technology, and alternative energy sources.

Sushi Azabu is a hidden restaurant, in the manner of Freemans and La Esquina. These hideaways are always catnip for ever-competitive New Yorkers, who relish inside tips and inside tracks that friends and colleagues don’t have. It’s unmarked, of course. To find it you enter an unremarkable-looking multi-ethnic restaurant named the Greenwich Grill, tell the host just inside that you’re sushi-bound, and then wait for a server communicating with unseen co-conspirators via a headset to escort you to a staircase off the Greenwich Grill’s dining room. Down the steps you go to a dark subterranean lair with a blond wood sushi bar, three enormous circular booths, a pebbled floor that makes you feel unsteady as you walk across it and a ceiling of tightly clustered, rounded pipes of bamboo.

Split the web! →

I had this idea back in 1995 with a guy named Baboo where in one web browser window (or tab in todays world) you could display several sites.  This idea is possible with YubNub and this link is an example of what I was thinking… perfect for students doing research online.  Another pane could even be a Google (or Zoho) docs word processor!

The idea of “crowdsourcing” to improve society in some way or solve seemingly insurmountable problems is a topic that I have been discussing with a few people for a couple of years now.  This link gives two interesting examples of this!

HUGE HUGE fan of this software!  Definitely get this program if you can!
Signed up for the alpha and got an invite almost right away… signed up for an account and downloaded the app.

After playing with it for 5 minutes i give it 3 thumbs up!

Direct access to LOTS of tv shows and movies online. Easy to use. Nice ui.
I will definitley be hooking up a computer to my tv and using this bad boy on a daily basis!
My two cents for today…

Cooliris | Discover More

I just found out about Cooliris.  All I can say is “cool!”

It is a plugin for Firefox that lets you browse web content in an interesting, 3Dish sort of way.

Recomended App.

Year in Ideas 2008 - NYTimes →

I thought this piece was very VERY interesting.  While I usually do not care for ‘year in review’ articles, this piece really makes you think about what was going in in the world this past year.  (also is layed out really well)

Inverts the screen on a mac so white is black and black is white… awesome!  Easier on the eyes sometimes!
