Not much going on
So in the lab I have been trying to improve what we are seeing with our Optical Vortex Imaging system. Things are moving slow due to difficulty with beam alignment and some other minor issues. I am still hopeful that his can yield some interesting results. It's Official.
I am officially a Ph.D. candidate, says the Graduate Center of the City University of New York! After passing my 2nd Exam last week I am pleased to see that my transcript reflects that I am a Level III student… “what does this mean” you may ask? It means that I am getting there… the end is “almost” in sight. Time to back into the “dark” room!

NYC Half Marathon
Today I woke up at 4:56 AM and jogged across town to 90th and 5th where I started the NYC Half Marathon. I ran the first 5 or 6 miles around 8:20 min/mi. pace… maybe a bit too fast for not really training, but it felt pretty good, even the Harlem Hills.
